First and Best Choice

  I began looking for a professional lighting designer in 2009. At the time, I had the do it yourself Home Depot lights which were not satisfactory in the least and it was definitely time for an upgrade. As I was researching online, I came across Natural Accents and immediately liked everything I was reading about it and scheduled an appointment. I met with John, the owner, and it didn't take long for me to decide that this is who I would hire to do my lighting. John has a passion for lighting and design and it showed through and through. Since this was my first time with professional lighting, I started out slow and listened to whatever suggestions John had. After the first installation I was hooked and continued to expand the lighting to other areas. I now have all of my gardens and house lit up. It is amazing, absolutely beautiful! My house sits high on a hill and at night the scenery is spectacular.

I keep mine on from dusk to dawn and that provides me with added security which is important to me. I had no idea what a difference it would make using low voltage lighting and now nothing compares to it. The fixtures are gorgeous and of the utmost quality. From day one with John's designing, to his crew's installing, making adjustments, maintenance and follow up they have all been very professional and a pleasure to work with. If I need anything, John does his absolute best to accommodate the request in a timely manner.

Natural Accents was my first choice and has turned out to be the best choice. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for professional lighting done the right way.

Beyond Comparison

  We have been so happy with our Natural Accents outdoor lighting. We had a previous lighting system that was many years old and needed updating. The improvement with Natural Accents is essentially beyond comparison. From design to installation, adjustments, maintenance, and follow up, they have been very professional and most pleasant to work with. The fixtures they provide are top quality, much more so than any I've seen at do-it-yourself type stores.

Our back yard is a large Japanese garden and the lighting is a perfect finishing touch. We enjoy the view out back in the evening as much or more than in the daytime. And with the way the new lights show off the changes of the seasons, we enjoy the fall and winter as much as the spring and summer. The new lights also enhance the security of our house and yard, particularly in the back where a large area was previously completely dark.

Natural Accents has also done a great job providing any upkeep or service we have needed for our system. I can't imagine a better outdoor lighting company to work with.

An Investment in Our Home that We Could Not Do Without

  I began looking for someone to do lighting for a garden that I was working on last spring. As I talked to different people that were listed in the phone book, it seemed to be just a sideline with many of them. When I talked to John at Natural Accents, it became very apparent that it was a passion for him. At the end of the conversation I not only had set up for him to see my customer; I set up an appointment for my garden. My previous experience with low-voltage lighting was the do-it-yourself kind, which was less than satisfactory. What a difference it makes when you have someone who is well versed in how and what to light. The fixtures that we used, mostly copper, just get better with time. I had no idea how different my garden would look once it was showcased with low-voltage lighting. We were even able to enjoy it in the winter, giving me another season that I could enjoy my garden. We both feel it was an investment in our home that we could not do without.

This letter is to express our delight with the professional landscape lighting services extended to us by the owner and employees of Natural Accents of Kansas City. We presented them with a very unique lighting project over a hundred miles from the firm's headquarters; in less than a week, the job was complete.

Our home is located in a large wooded area in the country. After Natural Accents completed their magic, the grounds surrounding the home are lit with a soft, warm glow – the lighting seemingly coming from nowhere, casting interesting contrasts and shadows throughout the trees and plantings. We can now enjoy our yard even after the sun sets.

Courteous, Knowledgable and Professional

  Recently I purchased a lighting consultation at an auction. I contacted John who was very responsive and made arrangements to come out within a few days. He kept to his word. John didn't try to “sell” me but was very reassuring about the quality and warmth of the LED lights. Within a week, I had a new lighting system in my front yard. His technicians were courteous, knowledgeable and professional. Their work looks good and took a minimum of effort from me. The electrical work was especially nice and looks much better than my original setup. Last night, John and his team came to check out the lights at night to make any final adjustments. I invited some friends and family over to get their feedback and all were impressed. We even discovered some other places that need lighting to augment the work already done. I look forward to working with his company over time as they maintain my system, eliminating the hassle of replacing bulbs or making adjustments myself. I will now walk past those enticing lighting packages in the home improvement stores; this is a much better use of my money and my time.

To Your Satisfaction and then Some

  My name is Jennifer, and I recently had John Pletcher with Natural Accents Outdoor Lighting Design do a Lighting project in my backyard to highlight my home, landscape, and pool area.

I had several bids before John came out. When John arrived it was more than evident that he was passionate about lighting and I knew he was going to be the one to do our project.

He was very professional in his presentation and had many examples/photo's of projects he had done. Simply beautiful work! I was on a budget, and he was not the least expensive (comparable though) but I still chose him due to his obvious knowledge and experience and most of all love of lighting.

The day of install he and his crew were wonderful. They were on time and finished the job when they said they would. They even worked harmoniously with the outdoor speaker crew we had out at the same time. That was a huge plus that we could have two different projects with two different companies go as smooth as they did… all thanks to John.

After it was installed, later in the evening he came out and made night time adjustments and I could not have been happier. I have even had him come out since and install more lights, which was very easy as all of their wiring is so easy to upgrade.

I highly recommend this company with utmost confidence that they will complete your project to your satisfaction and then some. I must also say that John's knowledge of what to do is such a plus. I had no idea how to light the project and I just knew that I wanted it done. He came in and knew just what to do. He put it all on paper and a proposal but it was amazing how he just looked at it and knew right where everything needed to be.

Call others if you want, but I think they will be a waste of your time. If you do have this company come out, you will go with them. Extremely professional and truly caring!
